Executive Management

Uffe Ostergaard
Mr. Ostergaard has worked in the container shipping industry for the past 30 years and joined Carrix as Chief Executive Officer in 2023. He spent the first 20 years of his career with Maersk, predominantly in the Copenhagen head office but also in various management positions in Europe, Africa and Asia. During this period Mr. Ostergaard worked in trade management, served as Managing Director in various countries and held positions as Senior Director for Strategy and Head of Global Marketing. In 2013, Mr. Ostergaard joined UASC as Chief Commercial Officer and member of Executive Management in Dubai, with responsibility for all global commercial activities. As part of that role, he also held Board positions and was Chairman of organizations in China, India, and U.S.A. As part of the merger with Hapag Lloyd in 2017 he became member of the Executive Committee and from April 1, 2018, he took over the position of President of Hapag-Lloyd (America) LLC responsible for all activities in U.S.A. and Canada.

Jaime Neal
Ms. Neal joined Carrix in 2007 as Associate General Counsel and later served as both VP of Finance & Legal and SVP & Treasurer, before being promoted to CFO in 2024.
She is a graduate of Western Washington University and Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington. She was previously a corporate and finance attorney with the Seattle firms of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP and Stoel Rives, LLP.
Ms. Neal currently oversees all of Carrix’s financial, banking, legal, government relations and risk management functions and is involved with project developments and other transactional projects.

Sebastien Sherman
Sebastien Sherman is a Senior Managing Director of Blackstone Infrastructure and leads the group’s coverage of the Transportation, Utilities and Renewables sectors. He serves on the board of SSA Marine Inc.
Prior to joining Blackstone Infrastructure in 2017, Mr. Sherman spent 14 years with OMERS Infrastructure (formerly Borealis Infrastructure), including as its Head of the Americas region and was involved in the origination, deal execution and oversight of a number of large-scale infrastructure portfolio companies across North America, Europe and South America. Earlier in his career, Sebastien spent seven years in the investment banking divisions of Morgan Stanley, RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities.
Mr. Sherman has an Honours BA (Economics) from Queen’s University and is a CFA charterholder.

Heidi Boyd
Heidi Boyd is a Senior Managing Director in the Infrastructure Group, where she focuses primarily on investments in utilities and transportation sectors. Since joining Blackstone in 2018, Ms. Boyd has been involved in the execution of Blackstone investments, including Carrix and FirstEnergy.
Before joining Blackstone, Ms. Boyd was at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, where she was involved with numerous transactions in the utility, energy, waste, and transportation sectors. Prior to that, Ms. Boyd was a Consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.
Ms. Boyd received a BA in Science, Technology and Society from Stanford University, where she also co-founded Stanford Women in Business. Ms. Boyd received an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ms. Boyd currently serves on the Board of Common Denominator, a not-for-profit, mathematics tutoring program for middle school students, on the Investment Committee of the Yakima Valley Community Foundation, and on the Board of Stanford Professionals In Investing & Finance.

Fernando Chico
Mr. Chico has a B.A. in Business Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. Over thirty years ago he founded a brokerage firm which later became Grupo Financiero Inbursa, one of Mexico’s largest financial groups, in partnership with Mr. Carlos Slim.
He is currently Chairman and CEO of Promecap, a private equity investment firm dedicated fundamentally to invest in Mexican projects and companies within diverse industries, including, among others, the financial sector, infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate, oil and gas, and retail.
He was a member of the Investments Committee of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund for more than a decade, and he is currently the only Latin American Global Compact Board member and leads the effort of this social responsibility initiative in Mexico and Latin America.
Since 2003 he has presided over and holds a controlling stake of Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste S.A.B. (“ASUR”), a successful example of a privatization effort which operates nine airports in the southeastern region within Mexico, including Cancun, as well as the airport of San Juan Puerto Rico. ASUR is quoted both on the U.S. and Mexican Stock Exchanges (NYSE ticker ASR:US).
He holds a 50% interest in Veolia, a French stock quoted company dedicated to waste disposal and water treatment with operations in Mexico.
He serves as a board member of several of Mexico and Latin America’s leading companies within the financial, tourism, industrial, consumer and aviation industries. He is the President of Mexico’s Légion d’Honneur Francaise chapter and is a member of the French-Mexican Strategic Council, a high level group working in economic, educational and cultural exchanges.
He actively participates as a benefactor and leader in several non-profit organizations that embrace diverse aspects of Mexico, including health, education, journalism, the environment and the arts.

Andres Chico
Mr. Chico holds a BA in Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
In 2016, Andres incorporated Rodina, an investment firm focused on real estate, technology, hotels and resorts, as well as waste management. He is also co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tortuga Resorts, a diversified hotel platform based in Mexico.
Previous to Rodina, Andres Chico worked at Riverwood Capital, a New York based Private Equity fund focused on investing in growth equity in the Technology sector. He continues to collaborate with Riverwood as a country advisor in Mexico. Mr. Chico started his investment career at Promecap where he acted as an investment professional for over three years.
He is Co-Chairman of Tortuga Resorts Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Boards of Promecap Acquisition Company (PMCPACA), Rubicon Global Inc and Metropoli. Additionally, he is a Mentor at Endeavor working with young Latin American entrepreneurs.

Daniel Kong
Daniel Kong is a Principal at Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, where he focuses primarily on investments in transportation, telecom, and utilities. Since joining Blackstone in 2020, Mr. Kong has been involved in Blackstone’s investments in Carrix and Hotwire Communications.
Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Kong spent six years in investing roles at BC Partners and Hudson Executive Capital, where he focused primarily on private equity and public investments in the telecom and consumer sectors. Mr. Kong began his career at Citi, where he was an Analyst in the Technology, Media, and Telecom investment banking group.
Mr. Kong received a BS in Applied Economics and Management (concentration in finance) from Cornell University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a Dyson Scholar.

Peder Sondergaard
Peder Sondergaard is an international industry expert within ports, shipping and logistics. Mr Sondergaard has worked with Blackstone as a Senior Advisor since 2018 and he has been involved in the execution of Blackstone’s investments in Carrix.
Before working with Blackstone he was at APM Terminals in senior executive roles from its inception in 2001 until 2018. During this period, APM Terminals’ global portfolio of port assets grew from 14 port locations to about 75 port facilities spanning most continents.
Prior to that, Mr. Sondergaard spent many years in executive roles with Maersk shipping line in corporate roles as well as regional/local roles in Europe, Asia and the US.
Mr. Sondergaard has lived and worked in eight different countries in Asia, Middle East, Europe and the U.S.

Teresa Sweeney
Teresa Sweeney is the Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Data Science. In this role, she oversees strategy and operations for the team, informing how data analytics and statistical modeling support the sourcing, diligence, and value creation processes at Blackstone and its portfolio companies.
Before joining Blackstone in 2022, Ms. Sweeney was the Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO at GLG and subsequently led much of its flagship private equity business in the Americas. Prior to that, she worked at Platform Specialty Products, a SPAC in the specialty chemicals space, where she ran the integration of its three agricultural chemicals businesses and then research & development strategy for those businesses. Ms. Sweeney was previously a Vice President at New Mountain Capital, where she was involved in the evaluation and execution of private equity transactions. She began her career at McKinsey & Company, working primarily on private equity due diligences and portfolio companies.
Ms. Sweeney graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a BSBA in Finance and Economics & Strategy and an MS in Finance with highest honors, and is an active member of the Olin Alumni Board.
